After Funeral

The timing on this shot was what it is. The traffic was relentless and I was not about to pose a street scene. So we had made our way through a funeral gathering outside a Baptist church in Nassau and was taking some shots of the shuttered windows when the well dressed lady entered the frame. Wishing for traffic to stop. Hope ran out. So the scene is the modern island way. Shiny new cars are everywhere. The locals who can’t afford a car use a transit system, small passenger buses that go to outlying towns. Tourism on the island is dominated by the Atlantis and it is anyones guess how much longer the native scene can hold on before Bay street becomes a relic of a better time and simpler time.
