Rollo In Tree Near Minnehaha Creek

Rollo In Tree Near Minnehaha Creek

Taking inventory of small local bike shops recently and on the way to Carlsons in South Minneapolis, closed and in disarray, I rode out to see the “Twins” This Giant Elm is by my guess older than the “Twin Cities” of Minneapolis and St. Paul.  Just south of Lake Harriet on Minnehaha Creek at 48th St the Rollo fit nicely into the crook of these wonders. My guess is that daylight starts about 7 feet from the base. The background shows a Mansion, not a McMansion but a real one just for scale. There is not a specimen larger than these virgins that I know of. Hope you enjoy your ride and discover something old again.
